Cabstrut PVC Conduit and Conduit Fitting comply with SANS IEC 61386-21:2003 requirements
Cabstrut PVC Conduit is manufactured from White PVC (un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride). This is a tough, rigid material with excellent resistance to chemicals aging.
PVC is difficult to ignite and is self-extinguishing. Due to its chemical structure, White PVC possesses an excellent resistance to ageing according to the Wool scale light fastness test. It is however NOT suitable for outdoor of high UV applications.
All Cabstrut B-PLAST PVC Conduit Fittings are injection moulded from SCI material (B-Plast White PVC) except for, Cabstrut B-PLAST Spacer Bar Saddles, Strap Saddles and Male Adaptor Lock Ring which are injection moulded from SCI material (B-Plast White Polypropylene).
Both these are tough, rigid materials with excellent resistance to chemicals and ageing. These materials are lead and cadmium free. Both materials possess an excellent resistance to ageing. They are however NOT suitable for outdoor or high UV applications.
